Two New Spots Are Coming to the North Mall

I spend a lot of time at the North Mall in Westhampton Beach, and lately there has been plenty to look forward to. Two new spots are taking shape there, and both are the kind of additions that make me want to swing by more often. Cluckman's, a chicken and smashburger favorite from Sag Harbor, and Uncle Louie G Italian Ice & Ice Cream are both moving in, and together they give the mall a real one two punch of a meal and a treat.

They are joining a lineup that already includes Tonino's Pizza, Hamptons Jiu Jitsu and WHB Nail Spa, to name a few. We capture the social media content for Hamptons Jiu Jitsu and WHB Nail Spa, so I am down at the North Mall often, and it has been fun to watch these two new spaces come together right alongside places we already work with. Here is what is coming.

Cluckman's brings its chicken and smashburgers west

Cluckman's got its start in Sag Harbor, where it built a following as a locally owned spot open year round. The menu is built around antibiotic free, all natural chicken, with a Southern Fried Chicken Bucket, Nashville Hot and Korean chicken sandwiches, tenders, popcorn chicken and wings. Alongside the chicken are smashburgers like the Sag Smash and the Cowboy Style double, plus salads, wraps, tacos, pizza by the slice and hand spun shakes in flavors from Oreo to Dubai Chocolate. A lot of it gets finished with the house Sag Sauce. I have wanted to try Cluckman's for a while, but the traffic out east always talked me out of the drive to Sag Harbor, so having it a few minutes from home is the news I am most excited about.

The second newcomer is Uncle Louie G Italian Ice & Ice Cream. There is no word yet on when it will open, but coming soon signs have gone up in the storefront windows, and from the owner's Instagram posts it is clear the shop is well on its way. Uncle Louie G started with a single store in Brooklyn and has grown into a gourmet Italian ice and ice cream brand known for an always expanding list of flavors, milkshakes, waffle sundaes and vegan and dairy free options. Their whole thing is treats so good they make you feel like a kid again, which is exactly the energy I want a few steps from the beach.

Good news for the North Mall

Two new spots at once is a nice lift for the North Mall, and for anyone who spends time in Westhampton Beach the way I do. I can already picture it: a chicken sandwich and a shake at Cluckman's, then a few doors down for an Italian ice at Uncle Louie G. I am excited about both, and I think they are going to be a hit out here.
